|
Can anybody help me with the "F" number on the lower bearing in the axle beam? The lower has a partnumber 311401301C. This number is stampled in the the same place as the partnumber so you have to look at a bearing if you have one. This can help me to get new bearings from a local shop. |

311401301 C
311401301 D
311401301 A
311401305
311401305 A 310-1827 A (DURKOPP)
310-2230 (DURKOPP)
310-2231 (DURKOPP)
310-1575 JP (DURKOPP)
310-2229 (DURKOPP)
Check the technical section. There is a bearing cross referance from VW numbers to OE number.
The list above did not quite copy and paste right. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

He is talking about the bearings in the beam, not the wheel bearings. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Oh, the NLA needle bearings! It still seems like Bearings Inc. could sell you the appropriate needle bearings! I've got complete good 67 & 72 beams in the barn For Sale. PM me.
P.S. I just shipped the 67 transaxle to Japan. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

the lower bearings come up for sale occasionally. Just bought a set from Australia. Granted, the were made in Brazil by FAG, but they look good. As for the upper bearings - about as easy to find as front gravel guards. I know of two NOS sets - one on this side of the Atlantic, and a set on the other side. _________________ '64 1500 'S' with sunroof

These bottom ones are OE size - not oversized (which you can't install unless you have the appropriate Matra tool)
I have 18 NOS ones of those...
I have the OE size of the lower '62 only ones too if someone needs them

its not easy to know when my old dismounted lower bearing has this partnumber..... |

The outer diameter is oversized - you need to ream the beam itself
Only when the bearing falls out I guess
You need OE sizes

So that means that when I have dismounted the bearing(did not come out easy) I use the stock OE size. Well BerT3 I need 311401301C x 2 and 311401305 x 2. Am I right? |
