car is stuff to start. engine tries to turn over but usually doesn't. once it does start it will usually die very quickly. any ideas?

A little more info would be helpful. 1200? 1500? 1600? SP/DP? Single/Dual carb(s)? What carb(s)? Dizzy? Symptoms: Cranks slowly? Cranks good but won't fire?
Would you go to the doctor and just say, "I'm sick." and expect him to figure it out? |
