The flat floors, and the trimming of that rear lip section, allows the seat to be pushed back several more inches.
On my Manx I had very good room and I am 6'2" as well. |

I did that on my Sand Shark and fit me very well, but with this Mini T, the seat cannot be pushed back any because the style of the body. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class

The rear floor pan lip which is on either side of the e-brake. Right near the weld for the tunnel halfs. You made a new lip for the floor to sit on in the back but in your pics it looks like the original lip remains. |

Ha... No I didn't remove the lip
I plan to round off that corner in the front so that it is not so sharp. With my seats it wont interfere at all.

After much deliberation, I realized that I could not live with the console rubbing my knee, so I moved the console forward about 9 inches. It feels much nicer, not hitting my leg.
Check out the dash cluster that I got on ebay.
It is from a 1947 Willys Overland truck, it has all electric gauges. The speedometer is busted, so over the winter I will try to retrofit the VW speedometer into it. _________________ Check out my build

It's been a while since I got to work on it, but I finally got too this weekend. It seems the smaller stuff takes forever to get it done.
I got the ends welded up
I go the battery tray made, still have some tweaking on the hold down, but it fits nice. I think I found a good place for the voltage regulator.
I made the mount for the fuse box.
I made some templates for the console face and side. now you can really see what it will look like.
Thanks for looking. _________________ Check out my build

just an opion but, i would lose the clear distributor cap it will leave you stranded one day |
lol I saw that in the pic and read down the thread just waiting for this comment....
very true though the original baklite material is way better than the plastic they use for the clear knock off caps... _________________ _________________________________________

Are you going to weld up the holes in the tunnel before painting?
Very inovative build, my favorite buggy body. _________________ Bad News Racing 2018 NORRA 1000 3rd in Class
