I would say $100-$200/pair depending on condition, maybe more, but only if they are flawless. |

Lind and I were just having this discussion when it occurred to me I have too many of these things. Our valuation came up the same.
Funny how some of the most desirable parts belong on one of the lesser desirable vehicles... hence the balances _________________

Its still a rare bus that seldom surfaces for sale and looks pretty original. Based on literature, It appears to be a Frickenger Hearse based from coach builder Fritz Frickenger in Augsburg. Many were based on double cabs and this one appears to be late as in 66-67. Some were based on single cabs, panels, kombi's too and they all carried 2 coffins. Cool to see something unusual and unique surface for sale although I imagine it has a limited collector appeal within the general masses.
While this is clearly based on a 66-67 DC, the Kombi & panel version states that it comes equipped with the following "Behind the right side door a drainage channel for body fluids led into a collection container. A corresponding body fluid collection container was placed by the rear loading hatch"
I wasnt aware that coffins leak |

That's a cool bus. Judging by the mis-matched airbox cover, it looks like someone swapped out the ambulance fan. _________________ -Thom

Hearses are pretty big out here, they have clubs and everything. I would imagine that would be a pretty cool hearse to have if you were into that sort of thing. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I reported it, so Mr. B could review, and put a stop to it. |

not a lot of hearses in the samba gallery:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_search.php?search_id=1133474492&start=0
I see some Frickinger SC hearses, but not any DCs, except the two pics just uploaded
A hearse club website, "We put the 'fun' back into 'funeral'."

*edit* - I just uploaded the other pics from Ebay into the Samba Gallery
This says the hearse is a '66, check out the model # 26-16.
