They know as well as I do that there is No NDBS with out WinterJam. They don’t have what it takes to make a weekend show on there own; they didn’t when Joe owned it and they still don’t now. I'm not opposed to them heaving there own show I just don't want to deal with all the bull SH*^ bad talk and cyber bulling. I do have to say I think it's brilliant on there part to attach them selves to a show that puts out as much as we do for marketing and working off of our crowds and money we spend. So while I don’t respect the way they did it, it certainly was the best way for them to try and make a name for them selves.
in the opinion of someone who knows a lot of VW people and does not own a bus.

It seems like this show gets more talked about after the show! Before the event took place it hardly had any pages on this thread! The new folks surely made a name for themselves even though I don't think it was a very good one at all! I was there with my my buddy chip fuchs and we both feel like we got ripped! We took the family to another show on saturday and had a ball as we are both kinda poor we just went by ourselves to this show on sunday as we loved the previous winterjams! Only to be very dissappointed to see a killer show go down the crapper! The only positive thing me and chip could come across is that we went by ourselves and lost only 30 bucks instead of a lot more! After we left early we hooked up with a lot of the aircooled community in Daytona and found out that there was a bigger turnout all over the city and beaches then @ the show!I guess that means something!!! Just saying what I saw and witnessed! _________________ 62 Type 3 Notchback

Just left the show. Had a great time and found a few good deals in the swap meet. I wish the swap meet had been larger but I will say it was laid out very well. |

Winterjam was better when it was where it was "Originally" thought of and started...Charlies lot. It didnt cost anything, food was under five bucks, nice free swap meet, it was a "Kid" friendly family event, music that wasnt blaring so loud that you couldnt even think, and the cruise through the loop was awesome.
I realize someone wanted to make it bigger and better, but at what cost did it really cost? Joe, a.k.a. "VUJADE" I ask you was it really worth it? Just seemes kinda sad that what Charlie started back then is now a complete embarrassment.
Oh well, looks like the toilet water is spinning in the bowl and those days are almost gone. |
