That must be for the 1956 and later ovals where the B+ is a stacked tabbed connection.

The Earlier version (after the D regulator but before the one pictured above) is a "screw through a loop" type configuration

Can't you get new ones at a reasonable price out there ?? Unfortunately , for making these i will have to redesign the whole chassis and make new molds

Sorry

OK thanks,
If you ever decide to produce this model please let me know, I am sure there is a market for this item. (All beetles 59 > early 70's).
Best regards,
Eddy

i don`t think so , i have started this expensive project due to the scarcity of the "D" reg , but i bet nobody will pay aprox $300 for a late regulator when they are still available for $50/100

I still want to see the schematic. Oh I know, intellectual property and all that, but I'm kind of a schematic nut. I like to look at and draw (by hand!) all kinds of schematics. Just damn curious I guess.

A little something I designed and built BTW:

Nice! I wonder how it will fare with real-world use in various adverse conditions.

I'm not sure I understand Matt's question a few posts earlier, so I'll ask: any chance you might produce a solid state , servo controlled 6 volt "ROUND" regulator? There would definitely be a market for those.

Do you still have NOS Bosch round regulators? a search for round regulators shows they are very limited. I would buy one - or two.

Because of the limitation on availability, more oval owners are looking for them, hence the reason why I would possibly buy 2

Thanks

And thanks vw54john for clearing up my message

Thanks

Matt
