I tried to search, but I had no luck. I'm trying to remove the trim so I can get to some rust underneath it - it feels like they can just pull off, but I would really like to avoid destroying the trim. Thanks for any help guys.

Push up (or down) approx 1/8"+ and pull out on it, once you get a piece loose you'll develop the correct combination of moves.

I push up from the bottom with both thumbs and pull out on the top with all my fingers at the same time.

Worked like a charm - ten minutes and a split fingernail later (need to watch those clips next time...), it's all off. Thanks busdaddy.
