While I think a car that low looks like it has a broken suspension or is carrying a thousand pounds of extra weight, I can appreciate all the work that went into putting a car like this back on the road. You can't be a split lover and not love to see a split brought back to life. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I totally agree with the broken suspension thing, there IS such thing as too much camber. Ive chosen a mild 2" swingaxle raise on my 55' to take care of the camber as well as combating the added wear a lowered cars swingaxle faces. _________________ No Coast VW Club

You can just drag bicycle chains down the street and achieve the same effect.
That is just about the dumbest thing I have ever seen. _________________ John Henry

I would throw stones but...when I was young I poked holes through my glove box for the 8 track that I stuck in there, busted off the tabs on my rims so I could reverse the rims and removed the baffles off of the 36 hp muffler that was on the 25hp motor...but on second thought...my car was like far out man..like I mean totally bitchin man... _________________ Bill |

Where's the best place to attach bicycle chains to achieve this effect? |
Around your head.
Then have your feel roped to the rear bumper. _________________ John Henry

Depends on the condition originally. But if the bottom 2" of the chassis has been ground off by some yahoo with a 2-3 functioning brain cells, then it would probably be a parts car. _________________ John Henry

Who is saying anything about restoring it or not? It can still be lowered and customized - nobody is bitching about that. But have the car dragging on the road??? Seriously? _________________ Kevin "Wiggy"

I'd roll it as-is without doing anything to damage it further. _________________ How to Post Photos
