Well guys I'll get my two cents in here. I remember when Ghia's sold new. Yup I was around then. Fact is the VW has and will be the most changed and converted automobile in history. All the goodies that were available were not all factory ad on goodies yet we now cherish them and sell them at very outragous prices as though they were original factory items. Hog wash. Change your ride as you like. I'll bet that many purists out there have some non factory parts on there ride. Let me see, how about that new distributor cap. That is not original but an aftermarket cap that works and fits the original. How about the plugs. Got an original set of those lurking in your ride. The purist will find a ride make it nice and use it. We don't all stuff our pride rides in a museum to be gawked at. We drive them.
