Is the '71 a sunroof bus now?
Or a camper with just the sunroof hole?
Or is it a hardtop you want to put a sunroof in? |

before you go to a lot of work, check the area on the bus at the back outside of the opening and forward from that spot 12" to see if rust has formed.
Check your bus to see if you will need to repair the area and check the donor as I am looking for sheet metal in this area to replace mine as it has pin holes. EVERY bus I have inspected, even those in a dry climate have rust pin holes there as it rusts from the inside in that area. _________________

Also, before you even begin to do this job I suggest you evaluate what parts you'll need and begin sourcing them. The prices can be sky high and many parts just aren't available from parts houses. Finding good used parts can be an adventure. Be prepared to spend $500 + _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum
