AWD for a rear engine VW Bug setup???

I JUST bought a gt40 replica, and was wondering what, if any, are my options as far as an all-wheel-drive setup- the frame and engine/trannie is from a 70's super beetle, but i'm probably gonna swap that out for a much bigger engine- not sure what kind- but before i decide on an engine- i wanted to look into this awd thing- does anyone know of ANY rear/mid engine setups for an awd car?make model isnt important, at this point- any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could find a vanagon synchro and use that, it was 4wd AND it'll take a type4 motor! Sounds like lots of work- good luck!
