Thats gotta be the safest house in the world. It already had a plane and Beetle crash into it. What are the odds it could happen again? _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Is that your name on the tag? Looks like it says GEORGEL

It actually says "GURGEL" the Brasilian manufacturer's name. They had a penchant for taking VW parts and rearranging them in interesting ways.

If you can squeeze in the door that's obstructed by the steering mechanism, you can squeeze behind that wheel. I must say, those mods (cut floor, heater channel etc) all look very well thought out..... |

I hate to think what's going on underneath the floor as far as how that steering box is hooked up to the front suspension.
EDIT, I just noticed that the steering comes out the side hence the bell crank blocking the door. Not all that familiar with early ford's. Nice "notching" of the heater channel to accomplish this... _________________ Chris

What, hatin' on VeeeeeeeTeeeeeeeOooooooo?
If you're referring to the quad headlight splittie I think that is a custom from way back in the day, not a recent hack. |

I don't know if there is a hippie paint thread, but I thought I'd throw it in here:

In all seriousness, if it wasnt so far away, I'd buy it. I mean it obviously has a couple issues, but the add on parts alone are worth it. I have a buddy that could use a lot of that stuff. And I'd still have a pan and could possibly repair the body. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone 1914. Ex wifes car.
