Keep posting pics. I'm enjoying seeing everyone's travels. I'm wimping out and trailering to MOTB, so I have to live vicariously through others. I do plan on riding out on Weds to meet the caravan and ride part of the last leg.
MOTB can't come fast enough. Have a safe trip.

We're at a point in the trip were weather is an issue. Today our I-80 has a issues so the plan is to drop a little south to I-70. It's crazy doing updates in a open buggy at this speed... Pictures as we go but safety first! Keith & John |

If you will be coming through St Louis on I-70, be aware of the construction of the new Mississippi river bridge in the downtown area. You could go around on 255/270 to the north and miss that but then you wouldn't see the Arch.
Looks like it going to be near 90 here today, so good weather for open riding.
Hope that helps! Safe travels guys! _________________ Or you can call me………Tim

One other thing, coming down I-70, you will go through Effingham, IL...Home of MidAmerica Motorsports. If ya have a free minute, stop in and check it out. Its just off I-70 and north about 2 miles. Pretty cool place.
Thanks for documenting your ride and letting us be excellent vicariously! _________________ Or you can call me………Tim

Awesome!!!! My favorite pic so far!!!! Early morning rainbow which means onething! We have some heavy storms popping up around us and we're moving fast. I don't want to hang around and see lightning make popcorn in a cornfield... That would be kind on neat!

Today we drove 725 miles in about 14 hours we're both tired. Here are some of the pictures
The race is on
We took a southern route which turned out to be a good choice!
We went completely through the state
Stop by this place, why I don't know but we did it
Took a few pictures by the arch, and trust me you do not want to park on the grass!!!!! Because she will have to do some explaining!!!
We loss the race!

Awesome! Ya stopped at Mid America and got to see the Arch!
The last pic is you going across the Missouri River at St Charles. That bridge was just rebuilt this year and is a far cry from the one it replaced!
(Im kinda livin vicariously cause I had surgery on my knee Wednesday...down for 6 wks)
Thanks for the great pics and an excellent adventure! _________________ Or you can call me………Tim

The morning started out like this and we were able to get it loaded in time. We were able to drive through it with no problem
Then the windiest place ever, i'm glad that's over!
Then some much needed modifications
Rush-hour
Another beautiful sunset, someplace in Colorado
And we end the nigh eating and drinking

I have always liked the silhouette and moving shadow shots. Pretty cool. Keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down, and keep having fun. |

Sunday 6/10 The morning started driving out of Denver and we headed for the mountains on I 70. As we started to climb up we felt the temperature dropped into the mid 20s, our highest altitude was 10,500 feet. The sun was out the view was absolutely amazing with snow on the mountains. We proceeded to Utah. We decided to take a deep tour through Moab Utah, to see what all the fuss is about. Dead horse Park is a state park and was open so we decided to go, what we saw was amazing pictures and words cannot describe it it's something you have to see in person! But I tried, here with some of the pictures from Colorado and Utah that day, enjoy!
The race is on!
The light at the end of this tunnel is not New Jersey
Had breakfast in the small town called rifle Colorado A place called Basecamp very good!
I will post more pictures of Utah when I get a better Wi-Fi.
John and I did take some trails off road but being that we have to drive this car a little further we decided to play it cool and be adults, The car got a little dirty we laughed had a good time and headed on our way.
After driving 10+miles past the last gas station we see a sign that says no gas 100 miles looking at our information we knew we're not going to make it we decided to turn around go back and get fuel and continue. |

So it sounds like you boys got to see Green River, UT twice. Good thing you did the math and decided to turn around for fuel. It can be so windy on that stretch of I-70 that your fuel economy can really go to hell and make 110 miles seem like a reeeeealy long way.
Nice to see you found time to get some white snow and red dirt on your buggy. Looks like your last picture above was taken near Dewey Bridge on UT 128. If you are sticking to your plan map, looks like you are giving yourselves a much deserved short haul from St.George to Vegas today. |
