I am having a problem where the windshield on my 74 SB likes to fog up. This happens about anytime, and weather. I had it happen tonight in 80+ degree weather. Does anyone haave any ideas or experience with this sort of thing?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt;

My guess is that you have a leak somewhere in one/both of your heater channels. This will collect extra condensation during cool-off, after you've stopped driving.

Try leaving the heater lever completely in the "off" position until the car is warmed up good, and has all possible condensation cooked out.

I may be completely off base here, but on the other hand, this might work.

Hey, any information or suggestions are appreciated.
In this case, I am not even running the heater, it seems to start the moment I get in. It is a 74, so I am nowhere near the windshield...

you need to pull the screws off the cover inside the trunk under the hood
( about 10 or so big phillips head) where the vent in the body for the fresh air is, and the blower motor wiper assmebly is housed...( 73-later super, not 71-72 or regular bug with outer plastic drain boxes) you gotta pry it off it's stuck together with some sticky crap.
beware you may still have an AC/ evaporator box and blower in the way if your car had A?C and no one has removed it yet...
I'm betting that the bottom of the case and the rubber drain tube is clogged up with old leaves and crap and moisture is collecting there...

and or what Jeff says is also worth checking into...

But because it does it just like you say, it makes that my first suspect.
