What should you do to the motor, or to the car? if car, check your throw-out bearing and mainshaft on the tranny, axle or cv boots, shocks, brake lines, and those probably seized e-brake cables. since the engine is out, that stuff is all a whole lot easier to work on. if you like heat, clean out the mousenests in the ductwork, and lube-replace all flaps and cables. if you don't use heat, now is a good time to seal up the ductwork, to keep some of the dust and dirt out of the car. clean up and organize your engine/rear harness wiring, check for bad insulation, and inspect/replace firewall grommets. Inspect/replace fuel line. check bowden tube. anybody else have anything else? |

replace clutch disk, bearing and pressure plate, throw a new tranny seal in also, check your tranny mounts up front and rear, I would replace them with a heavy duty mount kit if you dont have one already and urethane mounts, maybe switch over your clutch forks to the heavy duty kind with the urethane bushing, renew the accelerator cable and clutch cables. |
