With the purpose to enjoy it and give it a ride without doing restoration work in structure, I refreshed the engine, brakes and gearbox to put it to roll ..
I share some pictures:

Sweet. Is the body bent near the rear jack point? Is the frame straight behind it?
An alignment might be in order. Run it until you get uneven tire wear to be sure. |

Yes, the chassis is bent and has some rusty parts and reinforced plates. According to history this panel worked in a coffee farm carrying bundles of coffee.
The area of the cargo doors are bent by being overweight and a for that reason they tried to invert the bend and never was welded correctly.
I have to do a lot of chassis work, but for now i want to roll on it... _________________ 1953 w26 SC (To Restore) x Sale

the right side of the body is bent but the chassis it's in a reasonable condition to drive on it but clearly needs to be put on a frame machine! _________________ 1953 w26 SC (To Restore) x Sale

That engine looks good...nice to see that old bus moving again, even if it has a lot of work in its future.
Nice Alfa, too! Please get more of that car into your pics... |

Very nice! Should close up the holes in the engine lid though, not good for the cooling of the engine. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

There is a air draft of sorts behind the bus when you are driving. It tends to keep the exhaust in that area, those holes suck the exhaust back into the engine bay instead of the cooler air where the vents are located at. _________________ Jonathan

That looks like a custom rear passenger side corner. Love the bus. You should have kept the dual Generator/alternator setup. _________________ Kevin Albrecht
