Absolutely! I don't stay in the slow lane and now the ability to see whats right of me when I want to move into the right lane without having to turn my head was well worth it. I have a 40 minute drive to work, all highway, so I'm in and out of each lane numerous times...

Any special advice or cautions about application of the template provided by Mid-America Motorworks?

I would imagine that you adjust the mirror very little after you get it straight. Once in a while you will have to readjust, but it shouldn't be any big deal.

I think it's definitely worth the effort.

I was driving in the left lane and had to get into the right lane, but my rear window was fogged up. Having the right mirror would have been great.

No, just make sure you print it 1:1 scale...lol Line everything up and you should be good to go...it was a perfect template...use the pic I posted as a reference and you should be fine... Smile When it comes to drilling, I highly, highly recommend a step bit to get the final 5/8" hole...

Yes, having a passenger side mirror is a necessity for me, no if and's or but's...anybody can do this...measure twice, cut once and be patient...

No, the mirror was on the outside. The "fog" was a sudden condensation that occurred on the inside of the back window from a sudden blast of rain. In a matter of a minute, my back window was so fogged up, I couldn't see out of it. It was daytime, so I couldn't see the car lights behind me (they didn't have them on).

Boyd, so how do you print 1.1? You'd think MidAmerica would send a template already printed.

Tim

Tim when you go to print, in the print window just make sure you have "actual size" selected, not "fit to page."

EDIT: This is in the print window for Adobe Reader which most computers will pull up PDF files in, other PDF programs may vary a bit but they should all have something similar.

Depending on your printer and/or print manager, it may print to fit, you want to make sure actual size is selected as mentioned above. Just an extra precaution.... Smile Good luck Tim, we expect pics! I just took Mabel for a spin around town, the passenger mirror rocks!!

Mort, if you don't mind me asking, where did you order your complete door kit from?

That's a rear hood emblem, there is a vintage front hood emblem that looks like this

that would be more appropriate for the front.

It was just a matter of positioning them inside of the head light ring before installing the ring...just turn them by hand..
