No they last quite awhile. I've had none break so far, they more just loose their edge. I've stripped about 1/2 the bus and have used around 20 of them, usually having a few on the go at the same time as they're easy to drop and misplace. |

Well happy to report I'm finally done stripping the repaint! Took 6 gallons of acetone, 3 quarts laquer thinner, 100+ pieces of steel wool, 40 plastic razors, 10 rolls of blue shop towel, roll of plastic drop cloth, 60 hrs of my time. Honestly have mixed feelings on how it turned out, but upwards and onwards. Here's some pics of the pass side, which was the last side I had to finish. Pretty sure I lost a few brain cells too, even wearing s respirator, lol
This last pic shows the gloss with a quick pass of zymol cleaner wax.

Its only original once and you did a great job getting back to whats there. I would blend the rough areas and run it.

Actually in this case it was original twice

Sure, delivered in primer and then after being painted by Westfalia.
Maybe he can strip it back to the original primer next.

Makes up for all those hrs when your in the middle of it and you wonder what the hell you've gotten yourself into! I kinda forgot I still have to strip the inside........started that tonight, damn hippies painted it all sorts of different colors over the years, brown, yellow, blue, white, all over the westy beige. |

Don't feel too bad, mine was painted pink and purple.
Try using some xylene on the paint you want to remove that is painted over the Westy brown. It has almost no effect on the softer Westy paint. I tried all sorts of other chamicals and they all wanted to remove the brown.

Thanks for the tip I'll try it out, have some in the cupboard. Didn't do much on the outside, but the inside looks like it could just be latex. Here's hoping! |

Thanks! Just read your build thread and its impressive to say the least. I can't believe you did all that work outside like that. I won't ever complain about my large 2 car garage being too small  Epic pictures too. |

I would guess 10/58 or 11/58 but a little earlier would be ok too.
