Seat Belts? What was the first year?

Your 66 picture is exactly what I have in my 65 vert. No threaded hole at the bottom of the "B" pillar. This is the first visual confirmation I have that beetles came with only a shoulder belt for a short time. Thanks for the pic.

my 61 has threaded bolt holes in the pan and under the rear seat. It was produced early 1961.
