Took a chance on ordering a ridiculously inexpensive pair of Rear shocks based on the reference provided by The OP.
Searched The Monroe catalogue and came up with these:
Monroe 37234 OESpectrum Sensa-Trac Light Truck Shock Absorber
They replaced a pair of the KYB gas-a-just shocks which I found harsh. The van is a tin top Syncro, stock springs. Front shocks are OME. With the Monroe shocks on the rear, the Ride is more mellow.
The top and bottom mounts as mentioned are about 1mm too long. 5 min. With the grinder and they fit fine.
Hat tip to SyncroGhia. _________________ 1988 Vanagon
