Is there anyone aside from Van Cafe performing throttle body rebuilding service in the USA for our aging engines?
Mine is a 2.1L, but other varieties would likely have the same issue.

I see more and more posts about idle and drivability issues and I suspect the worn out throttle body is the culprit in my case and in many others.

GoWesty offers a new throttle body for $280:

GW has a YouTube video about their rebuilt ones, but can't find it on their site. I think they may not offer any longer now that they offer new ones.

Van Cafe offers rebuilt ones at $365 (+ $75 core charge):
https://www.vancafe.com/025133061F-p/025133061f.htm

Frank Condelli offers rebuilt ones at C$250 (+C$100 core charge):

BusLab offers the GoWesty one. Found nothing at BusDepot or VanAgain.

Anyone know of other options?

I fixed mine myself, I did a tutorial on it.

It worked great!
Still does.

My throttle body was pretty sloppy the last time I had it out. I have been hoping to get a rebuild from Rocky Jennings but there is always some other thing I am trying to improve. Appears that he still does the work, there is an ad in the classifieds.

Thanks - a great solution if I had more time on my hands, but have too many other things going on right now for this path.

Thanks. Found the Rocky Jennings ad linked below. $300 (+ $150 core charge):
Adding it to this thread for a more complete list of options in one place.

Frank does have a sale going on for the month of December - 15% off

https://www.frankcondelli.com/staging1/store/index.php?route=common/home

OK Volks, here's your chance to save some dollars. We are having a one month sale on all in stock Volkswagen Vanagon/T3/Westfalia parts. Starting December 01 through to and including December 31 you can get a 15% discount on all orders with a materials total of over $100.00 CAD. Use this "Coupon Code" on the "Shopping Cart" page to get your 15% discount. Coupon Code: DEC2020 This sale does not apply to any Propex heaters or parts.

Would make his throttle bodies around US$165, have no idea about shipping from Canada..

I am still rebuilding throttle bodies if you are interested. All years of aircooled and water cooled up to 1991 including porsche and superbeetle. Price includes a good used factory TPS and gasket until I run out of them.
