I removed my larger blinkers on my 72 Ghia and am replacing them with the smaller blinker. Can someone tell me how many inches below the headlight the lights go? In inches?

The top screw hole (of the bullet type "blinker") is 1.5 inches below the headlight bucket, measured inside the wheel arch. The hole for the wiring is 3.5 inches below the headlight bucket also measured inside the wheel arch.

On my '68 Ghia.

Do you need a photo?

The tape is a bit off-center in the photo and there's a bit of paralax error there, but the measurements are accurate. 1.5" and 3.5" respectively to the centres of the holes .

Did the same for my '72. To keep the vertical straight with the headlight I taped a string inline with the fender ridge and weighted it with a nut. This helps keep the holes you will drill centered with the headlight center line.
