This panel is made and sold by AtelierK. He lists it as a 55-59. Can anyone tell me what the difference is vs a 65? Is it just battery stops for the sides of the battery to prevent sliding. He does not list a 65 panel. Hence the question.

This thread shows the battery stops that I refer to.

Place a link please. We just see your text. No link or image to know what's being referenced.

I'm assuming you're talking about the battery tray. According to Wagner Blechteile, here are the differences:

The Wagner ones also confuse me. The 1965 KG had the battery on the left from what I can tell. Photos I've seen on 64/65 KGs seem to have the larger square depression with the smaller inset depression PLUS the battery clamp hook on one side and a stud on the other.

The Wagner ones don't have that. And the battery location changed after 65. The Wagner claim of 63-71 seems to be making some simplifications.

However, the Atelier K panel seems to look like what was in use in 65 as well - though it is listed as only being applicable thru 59.

And the parts manual only lists one panel up to 145 999000.

The seller responded to my email and sent me this pic as the correct panel for 64-66. So 64-66 seems to have had only one indented pressing while the earlier ones had two.

Battery on the right side up to the end of the '65 model and from the '66 model battery on the left side thereafter
