Yes, the PO told me it was an ambulance. I paid around that for the bus ($2K). It is indeed in South America, but well, I live here too! Wink

The shipping alone form the east coast to the west coast or vice versa will runs at least $900.00 bucks, let's not even get into overseas shipping and customs. If anyone finds a barndoor for 2K let me know, I will buy it sight unseen.

Is that a typo or a joke?

Neither. For example, there is probably $2000 worth of parts on any complete Barndoor. Front end, rear end, brake parts, speedo, pedals, some body metal, ...

What was your actual question?

The price just seems really really low to me. So I could buy a non-running but "complete" barndoor bus for 2K? I'll take one! Cool

Having it be worth $2000 and buying it for $2000 are 2 different things.

There are always a few for sale here on the Samba. I passed one up for $200 a couple weeks ago in SF.

And when barns go for $2K complete I'll take 10 rusted to the moon!!

That bus is in Argentina, I talk to the guy who sold it to the current owner, the buses down here in South America need a lot of work, they have been worked haaaaaaard, also remember the shipping costs((about $2,000) and customs brokering in the U.S. ($500.00), how much is a bus like this worth???it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
