It was originaly sahara beige but was repainted with a costom mixed beige acryl. Quite darker. It is a very budget paitjob. A 10 footer for sure
The engine is the original 1300 rebuild with some NOS mahle 86,5 cylinders so is 1621ccm now. ported 1500 sp heads, rebuild 28 pci carbs with 24,5mm venturies, home made manifold, linkage and now ocrassa kneicht look alike air filters ( not in this picture). The exhaust is original holowed out with SS pipe tips. In this pictures i have some tip inserts but i took them out becouse were too restrictive.

Thanks. Beautiful car. I worked on a Euro 67 here in the states, pretty rare here. A buddy bought it from the original owner. It had the 66 and older headlights, cloth ragtop sunroof, 6 volt, and if I remember it had wide pre 67 chrome. Maybe that was just on the hood, but I think it had wide chrome on the sides too. That was 30 years ago, so I forget. It had Euro bumpers, and other things I've forgotten about that made it different than a US car. Oh it had a 40 horse in it too. Wish I would have got it, he didn't keep it long. Sold it before I knew it was for sale. |

That's a seriously beautiful VW!
I'm also a big fan of the Retrosound radio. Looks terrific in that dash. _________________ Gone but not forgotten: 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1966) - another 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1996) |

She'll be in my driveway soon; getting the once-over at Chris Valone's. It's one of his previous restorations. Before folks start listing what's not '67 correct, I know, but I don't care. The quality of his work is excellent. I am having them paint the wheels in the correct Lotus White/Grey-Black and losing the port-a-walls. I'm just not crazy about whitewalls.

Gonna try to post my junk. Worked! My last '67 Is on this post back 6 years ago! These are my latest. Had to sell my last one in a divorce. These I am keeping!!! They both just happen to have been made the week I was born in late October 1966. They were make a day apart! They are brothers and I am keeping them together (found them seperate). Have lots of cool parts for them. Original Empi GT Steering wheel, New BRMs, Original Crestline MarkII 5-spokes, Mangel Chromies, NOS Michelin tires. Both will be all all stock, dropped in front, original Convertible decklids with cool rims- just like the early days. Both have H-code engines.
Always looking for clean and NOS '67 Parts-
Seat Belts
Wiring Covers
Bumpers
Rear Fenders
AM/FM Saphire Radio
Black CA plates starting with T
Like to find clean '67 Project with original Sunroof. _________________ Tan '67 Bug
