I had the luck to be one of the first to purchase this Tin, Made in Japan single cab from another collector. ~ 1/43 scale.

Stumbled across this on a die cast sight, still working on more information to post along with it.
Edit:
Jose Carlos Pace drove The Decon Team of Brazil under the command of engineer Paulo de Aguilar Goulaet. A specialized race car modified with a Porsche engine and chassis. He won the 12 hour of Interlagos where his car was pushed to the finish line after breaking down on the final lap.

I have a set of 18 trucks (not VW) from the same manufacturer. These are Chevron gasoline trucks through the years. Starting with horse drawn wagons up to 1930’s fuel trucks. Dad collected them from the Chevern station everytime he fill up. Starting in 1990 he got 3 trucks a years until the promo ended in 1995. Any way each truck is in the same exact box.
I like the panel bus you have. A nice addition to your collection. _________________ Prosit!

I’ve been eyeballing this one for a couple of years now, but it was hard for me to justify at that price. Last week they had their models at 40% off. I picked it up. I doubt I’ll see a better deal for it in my neighborhood.
Edit: I have yet to see a VW kit at Hobby Lobby. At least this is still Air-Cooled.

42 quid! crazy price though for a 'starter kit' - mind you I've no idea how much pocket money kids get now...probably more than my pension _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

My oldest son just returned from a month in the UK with work and brought me back a few gifts.

I don't yet have a portable studio, so pics of my display shelf will have to do...
A very special JNF Telesteering Split Window Beetle that my aunt gave my uncle back in the 40's. Barely used with original box(note Santa Claus sticker from when it was a present that Christmas), instructions and some signs not pressed out of the cardboard sheet. Has original key. Was made in US-Zone Germany...so one of my rarest and definitely the oldest models in my 20+ year collection.
I have "waited" for this for a long time. Unfortunately to be in my cabinet it is at the expense of my Uncle's health. Two years ago my Mum(his sister) and my Dad passed away 2 months from each other. Although I am happy to give his JNF a home, it makes me unhappy because my uncle is my only elder relative remaining. I am pretty sure he was the inspiration for my folks buying a 1970 Westy in 1970(see pics and movies in another section). Life is as it is I guess...
The JNF goes well with my Göso Barndoor Single Cab. Seems to be a similar scale

The EKO convertible is a copy of the Wiking, while the Ghia resembles the Anguplas. The bug is similar to the Wiking, but has its own profile.
These turn up most often at model train shows, sometimes pulling a trailer.
Here is the EKO VW made into a Herbie.

No, it doesn't look like it. The convertible I wouldn't know how to tell on such a small model.

Bought these like 25+ years ago at a toy train shop, but recently refound them in a box. The back of the cards are blank.
