Be logged in.
Hover your mouse over the "Classifieds" tab in the upper banner of (any) site page.
Select "Manage My Ads."
Select "Action" item "Edit" for the particular ad.
Or...
You see in your post (up above mine)... there's an icon labeled "ads" at the bottom of your post.
You can click on it (a new page will open) and then click on the relevant ad.
At the top of the new page that opens... select "Edit." _________________ aka: Evan

Everett,
Site change request (shown in bold).
Will you consider revising this:
You are the owner of this ad. You can Edit, Delete, or Deactivate it.

Is there a way for me to repost a deleted ad. The complete ad still shows when I pull it up, but I can't find any way to renew it. Thanks, Rich |

I restored it for you.
Since it is an older ad that I think got deleted for being over 90 days old, you need to renew it or it will expire again next Monday.
General admin note:
Why next Monday?
I currently only remove ads over 90 days old once/week - every Monday morning my time. _________________ How to Post Photos

I realized I never explained why this is true.
Reason(s):
As the admin, I often delete duplicate ads / reposts / scam ads that are on the site.
I would not want these users to be able to restore these ads that are deleted for administrative reasons.
The solution is that no one can undelete an ad.
Yes, this creates more admin work for me sometimes but it's minimal. _________________ How to Post Photos

A "preview" has been requested in the past but it's not an easy thing to add to the site so I haven't looked at it.
Draft is sort of different in that the ad would be "placed" but in draft mode so not visible except to you.
I will think about what is involved in that.
Deactivation
You are correct about it deactivating it immediately.
Example: Activating it an hour later puts it an hour down in the listings; it won't be on top. If it's car this might not matter due to limited ads but parts might be an issue if a lot of other parts get posted in that category.
Note:
Posting something and immediately deactivating it is sort of a bad idea for another reason:
All the classifieds alert emails still get sent out so anyone who gets an email notification will see your ad is deactivated and may think it's already pending/sold. _________________ How to Post Photos

What do you think about being able to save an ad as a draft so you can complete it at a later date? Then when you finish it, release it as a new ad. I know you can already create a partial ad then deactivate it immediately for later release, but then you miss out on the coveted "New Ad" status.
Sometimes I am creating an ad and realize I need a better photo that I can't take right away. It would be nice to be able to save most of the ad so you can quickly finish it later. _________________

I would like to know how to repost a deleted ad. There doesn't seem to be a way to do it from the deleted item page. I have read all the FAQs and searched everywhere for the answer. Can anyone help me? Thank you. |

I removed that to discourage people from renewing a whole page of ads at once, which is totally annoying.
I recommend people renew 5-10 at once MAX. This ensures your ads are:
1. Not skipped over in mass
2. People don't get annoyed and block you from the listings
3. I have found it's more effective to repost ads a few at a time each day. I make more sales on more parts this way, often from ads I did not renew that day. |
Thanks for the recommendation- I'll try that in the future. _________________ Each day is precious. |

I am the only one who can undelete ads.
The only reason for this would be if you accidentally deleted something (it happens). Email me link(s) to the ad(s) and I will take care of it.
If it expired after 90 days, it is ok to repost it as a new ad. This is the one exception to reposts. _________________ How to Post Photos
