Is that UCLA parking sticker still valid.
This is way, way too high on creep factor....

Thanks hitest,
I'm just glad to see the continuation of bus hunting and the thread to prove it as so many busses are still out there for us to find before they return to the earth

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

A little off topic but years ago some buddies and I rented the house on P street in Sacramento where some of the Manson girls lived, Squeaky Fromme, Sandra Good and Susan Murphy, Fromme was the one who tried to assassinate President Ford. I can say that house had some serious creepy vibes, and we had some pretty killer parties there |

You would still pass it along to make some $, but it's too creepy to own?

Charles had at least one other bus prior to stealing Gary's bus. Nobody knows how many VWs were stolen by the family. In 67 he traded a piano given to him by Dean Moorehouse for a bus while he was living in the Haight Ashbury district. He traded this bus for an old yellow school bus because more people had joined his little harem. |

While it's anyone's guess if the bus above was once owned by Manson, it's not, "The" Manson bus. Meaning it's not the famous one that was "borrowed" from Hinman and driven by the family. The Hinman/Manson was a 1958 and was most likely red (possibly a deluxe or with the deluxe trim added).
The most credible (and repeated) story is that it was abandoned by the family along the road and towed by LASO around 1969. It was likely scrapped thereafter (unless it was claimed by next of kin which is unlikely considering the circumstances and what they were worth at the time).
Interesting side note: I've always been surprised how much attention the Bundy Bug gets, but the school bus the family drove is still up there in the hills relatively intact at Barker ranch.
Leslie Van Houten just got paroled in April... crazy. |

Hey, anyone know what happened to Charles Manson's BD?
I was just watching a special on him on the history channel, and it showed his bus a few times. Just wondering if anyone knew what happened to it, as it'd really be a neat find/piece of history, even if it isn't a good one. |

Some years ago, a friend made a short spoof of Manson using my bus.
