My friend's Pacifico bus. Was originally a SWR walkthrough. Still a sweet bus.

Nice! That's tied for my favorite Pacifico paint schemes.
Sadly, the squid bus at the top of the page got sanded down and painted solid colors. If I were to reverse it- I'd go factory single tone. _________________

I'm writing a story about two of these buses that I came across at a car show. Does anyone know what period of time this bus project happened?
Also, I noticed two of the people here were owners of the buses and sold them to Pacifico. If you have a moment, I would appreciate your input. In either case you can contact me via the Curbside Car Show Calendar.
Thank you in advance. |

My bus!!!!
I was just reminiscing about my old '62 double door panel, and regretting that I sold it. I knew it ended up as one of the Pacifico vans, but had never seen a picture of it. A little late-night googling turned this up!! Thanks, whoever posted this.
As much as we enjoy the "modernity" of our '86 Westy, I have always regretted selling the '62. If I could somehow find it, I would buy it back!
They didn't change anything but the paint on it. It had a low-mileage 1776 DP, (and at one time, 6 Soundstream amplifiers and 4 subwoofers). It was my daily driver for nearly 10 years.
Found more pictures here:

http://mexicoviapacifico.typepad.com/surfbuses/2008/06/gigi.html
Apprently, they named it"Gigi" and gave it the "Rooster Alarm Clock " paint job.
