why on earth restore it back to its "glory".
. it actually looks old compared to the restored pieces that look like they were made yesterday - patina is a good thing. if it had been a rat i would agree with you - but now ... very very nice car |
i appreciate the whole patina thing as much as the next guy. but when it comes to an original heb i think a rare car like this should be restored eventually. |
Jimmy, I have to agree with these guys. I love the patina on this Heb. The lowered ride height and rims can be changed in a weekend, especially since he has most of the original stuff to do it. If you can look past that you will see an original and rare car that has been lovingly preserved. The process of disassembly and restoration would wipe that slate clean. |
i guess you didnt read my first post all the way through because i said have fun with it in the meantime. im only saying that someday it would be cool to restore someday. either way i like the car alot and the patina does look cool but this car deserves to be restored at one point. i understand it has been preserved and that is great. either way nice car i would love to own one someday but probably wont. so if that day comes i can do whatever i want to it and be happy. just like this guy is doing. |

Congratulations on your car I like it just as is now, maybe the previous owner will feel better after he know the car is driveable again. take him for a ride if he improves his condition and get all the history. |

If I had found mine in that condition, I maybe would drive it for years in that state. No fear of scratches, no big resto efforts, just fun using it and a pleasant way of

Well, I personally just would ride stock rims. |
yes as a result of endless discussions in HO, my desission will be to ride it as it is and try to hold the patina as long as possible in this condition, but if i get all parts together for this car, i will think again of a full resto
and carsten, i do not own stock rims at the moment they are harder to find as chromed sprinties _________________ www.oval56.com

Again congrats for getting the car.
And for getting it ready for the show.
Getting a Heb is great anyway but this is surely not the worst.
It was nice meeting you. Next time mine may not be an empty shell
anymore.
Kind regards, Carsten.

Something I have wondered about since I first saw the pics of this car is
the "MIL GT" on the side. Did you get any explanation about that?
