What, if any, modifications were made to the wheels and/or the hubs to get the center caps to fit properly? Also, did you use spacers on the rear? |
I have to point out: this isnt my car. I´ve just corrected the info above. No mods other than spacers used. _________________ 88 Westfalia Club Joker syncro AAZ i/c

wouldn't that textured paint on the grill be a total bitch to clean ? I mean it looks like sandpaper... how could you even dust it off without snagging tons of lint off a paper towel or a rag ?
the rims are super cool !! |

U-POL sells a product that produces a fine textured black finish like that in rattle can form. It's called PLAS/4F. The PLAS/4F texture is actually just a bit finner that the one in the picture above, but they have another product, PLAS/4C, that has a courser texture. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)

It´s a structural paint made by Innotec. It´s been painted over with black spraycan paint. _________________ 88 Westfalia Club Joker syncro AAZ i/c

Thanks for bumping this thread. I had forgotten
or not noticed the first time I saw this that this
was an air ride build. The Shockwaves are a nice
solution for the front, a bit spendy though but bolt in.
Would be nice to see how it rides. _________________ Tencentlife said,

Love the detail of the photos. I feel like going home and tearing mine apart tonight for a new paint job. I love it when people give the step by step and not just a before and after photo. I for one don't know much about what I'm doing and seeing the whole process makes it possible for me to take on a lot of work that my van needs.
Is the inspiration art taped to the back window done up in 3-D CAD or just a 2-D drawing?

It's just a Photoshop..
Did the bodywork on this one for the same company a couple of years go..
