Sorry if it's been asked already, and it's probably a dumb question, but: would you pay $5,700 nowadays to keep it? (I didn't read the last 4 pages or so.) |
That is an interesting question. I'm not sure. While this was a super cool bus, it would have needed major work to be really good, beyond repairing the accident damage. I still can't believe it hasn't resurfaced in the last decade, especially since someone paid out some money for it. Maybe some day it will reappear. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

what happened to the 2nd and 3rd year anniversary announcement?
We can't take your mourning too serious if you're gonna have 2 year lapses between yearly announcements |

I've had no reports of sightings. With the trailbash right around the corner, I've been thinking of the monster. I feel like I barely got to know it before it was taken away. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

Ask Franklin's VW Werks. I think they built it. _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |

Probably gonna sit in a container for another two. 4 weeks is the going rate over to the UK, right? |
2 months by ship from LA. Maybe 1 month from East Coast _________________ Ask not what your bus can do for you, but ask what you can do for your bus.

these auctions are only open to wrecking yards so it's not like anyone can bid on them, I gotta feeling that whoever bought it had never seen it here on the samba, the highest bid on the Coram Rug Works was $1050, at which point I bought it back. |

Well as far as I know someone paid $5700 for it so it must be somewhere by now. There were no storage fees while it was in my garage.... _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |
