73 Super….3 bolt struts static. Wouldn’t necessarily call it “slammed”, but the front sway bar mounts are 2 1/4” from the pavement.

This is such an impressive car. Truly tasteful flames, shaved drip rails, hidden trunk release and doors too. Studying the pictures of this build was like fawning over the pages of an old-school hot rod magazine. Right on man! Timeless. |
Wow…….thank you very much. My father is a paint & body man. He’s had two vehicles reviled at SEMA. One was for Ford Motor Company. He did all the work on the car. Most don’t notice the shaved drip rails. It’s subtle, but enhances the “roundness” of the car. Believe it or not, this was a very cheap project. Cheers!!! |

Clearly..
One thing I've noticed about any sort of trend is that they are a lot like sweets. One chocolate chip cookie is amazing. Two is even better. Three is good. 17 will make you sick.

Been on here long time for me at least. People are weird and think everything is a trade secret when it comes to suspension. For mine 3 1/2 beam and 1" spacers. It was only way I could get the 17"s tuck and not rub. Also it will be ready for disc down the road. Everyone I asked about my 17s said they rub, mine don't. My build thread has all the details and explanations. But to each his own and I like shocks 🙂 _________________ 68 build that had been sitting for 18yr in a garage.

I always thought fat chicks were only super’s. Here my 73 standard, 3” narrowed beam, dropped spindles and a spline or two in the rear.

Hadn't had a Beetle in about 6 years so I picked this up. Just got the body back on after pan halves and much more. Did up a 2" adjustable beam with drop spindles and did 2 clicks in the rear. Lots of reassembly to go obviously but couldn't wait to revive this thread. Tell me what you think.

Yeah I did the same on my 68 a lot more options but wondering what he did for the front. He prob pie cut it if its still a beam. |
It's a Super... and it's static. It was built by @joshwaa__ on Instagram. _________________ 1973 Superbeetle: 1st car, owned since age 12. Update thread --> https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9919140#9919140

Will 195/50 work in the rear if I'm 3 outer clicks on 5" wide sprint stars with 4" backspace? Here is how it looked previously
|
Forgot to post an updated picture after the 6.5" narrowed beam. Still 3 outers in the rear on 195/50/15 and front on 135's.
|
That looks great Imo, how much ground clearance at the beam? |
Sorry for the late response. Beam is 5/8" off the ground. It's a bitch to drive but looks cool lol. I will plan on raising it soon. _________________ ’73 Beetle - My first car, owned 26+ yrs
