That seller was banned from this site a while back under a different name. The inventory then went to ebay.

"truenfairnhonest" is not his first eBay account. I'd look over anything he sells very carefully. This isn't the first van of his I've heard of that looked terrible upon inspection.

Yep, this guy regularly advertises low milage vans which have all had their speedo's messed with. Just because it says a certain amount on the New Jersey title doesn't mean it's true. Either New Jersey never checks, or he has a pet worker at the local DMV. _________________ Currently:

That is a REIMO interior
https://www.reimo.com/de/G-campingbus_ausbau/GR-vw_t3_ausbau/
It looks like it was converted from a Multivan which is the euro model name of the Weekender _________________ Zoltan

Definitely nok original vans, neither this, nor the Syncro mentioned.
But the Reimo interior is actually quite nice, it has more cupbord space than a Westfalia, so for a camper enthusiast not too concerned with the originality of the van, this is not too bad.
Sunroof is not original either, and the wheels are probably Penta 8x16 et11. Quite popular in Europe, but can be a bit tough on the wheel bearings.
The syncro actually looks like it originally was a Multivan model, given the holes in the floor that shows mounting for the single B2B seat. _________________ 1991 VW Multivan syncro 1,9 TD |

Why is it still up on E-Bay? The seller's completed auctions shows it sold for $12,100.
Can't say that this is the same seller, but the towns used in both auctions are right next to each other and both seem to like flipping imported vans. Hummm...
The E-bay seller also has a no-reserve Syncro Westy for sale. Current bid is $16k. Lets see if it actually sells or gets reposted when he doesn't get the $50k he's probably looking for. |
Think he had both vans resprayed at the same time, or are were they both red to begin with? The reimo interior conversion on the sunroof looks snazzier than the (early 80s 120v US-spec?) interior on the '89 syncro. _________________ '86 x-1wd, now w/ 2wd! Wolfsburg Weekender

Why is it still up on E-Bay? The seller's completed auctions shows it sold for $12,100. Last year, there was a no-reserve auction on the Bring a Trailer website for a custom Doka. The thing supposedly sold for around $7k. The van was advertised on other sites for over $20k. Needless to say the deal didn't go down and people were pissed. Scroll down near the end:

As long as we're talking about the b. s. Asspect of the ad, let's not overlook the likelihood of the odometer veracity. _________________ One of these days I'm gonna settle down,

It has non sliding middle glass and non-vented rear glass. Definitely a European base model that we never got over here.
Love the Reimo interior, if it stays under $10,000 it might be a good deal for an interesting van. |

That guy imports and flips a lot of vans and the each seem to have their own quirks(to put it nicely). I'd stay far away from that particular seller(think he has more than one eBay account). _________________ 1977 Westfalia 2.0FI 4spd
