We got DG fired up! First time since it was parked in 1988. According to the previous owner he drove it to where it was parked.
It needed a new starter and my wife put it in! She really wants to do more if not all the work on this one! Cool huh?

Today’s update is a bit minor but it went to getting it closed off from the elements. She is getting a garage spot soon but until that happens she sits outside. So far we have had a dry autumn / fall but that can all change quickly. We could see snow by the end of the month who knows.
But anyway I raided my hoarders stash and came up with the correct vent window to replace the broken one that was repaired with chip board years ago. It is obvious that someone locked themselves out and tried to open the vent window. They damaged the chrome strip and put a dent in the door before just resorting to breaking the vent window. I went to put the new window in and didn’t notice that the bottom bolt tab was broke off. My only other ones I had were earlier ones probably from a 67. But they fit and it’s in and helps keep rain out. I will need to replace all of the window scrapers but that’s a winter project. I got to get my lean to done to get everything into dry storage before snow flies.

Me too! If it runs good I’ll pull it anyway to make sure it’s not full of mouse house and give it some fresh plugs wires tune up you know the full deal.

A small box came in today.
The wife wants eyebrows so yeah she got eyebrows I know doesn’t do anything to get the car started but she sees her vision coming to life and it made her happy ergo it made me happy.
Got this to instal which will go a long way to getting it started. Hopefully tomorrow this will go in and I’ll try another “will it start” effort. I’ll keep everyone posted.

Here’s a cool pic my wife took.
Tried to do a will it run attempt the other day but the starter is bad so that didn’t get far. Tried to replace the broken vent window today but my replacement I got from my shop is missing the tab with the threaded nut plate. I will need to get another of both. But I still need to pull the last car out of the barn find stash before I can really get started on it.

I would love to be able to make it drive and stop enough to take it to the show coming up in Geneva Ohio just as it is on 40 year old bias ply tires and all. Of course I will trailer it there and back but it would be fun to roll into the show as a barn find.

I know it’s probably a waste of time to try to clean this ol girl up but it makes me happy to see what can shine actually shine up.
I don’t have an actual buffer just a polisher so it can get better than this but not bad for 30’minutes.
I will be picking up a remote starter trigger tomorrow afternoon because I don’t have the keys yet. But they exist and yes it does have a title.

My wife loves the color. I think my first step is to do a “will it run” on this. Mostly just for fun, I have a fresh 1776 to go in it. I am also going to dig through my sheet metal stash I know I have a heater channel a floor pan and I believe both wheelhouse repair pieces.

It’s nowhere near as bad as it could have been, the building it was in was very dry. It sunk down until nothing could get underneath it. So maybe that kept it from turning into dust. But it’s going to need the pans and channels replace and both inner wheel houses up front. But all in all not too bad.
