Im having my bug repainted and I wanted to know if originally the fender beading was supposed to be black or painted the body color. Thanks

Mine also is supposed to be black but when the previous owner painted the car, they painted the back beading (and left the front black - go figure) and I kinda like it painted better.

fender beading is cheap and when the paint on it starts to crack its going to look pretty bad just my 2 cents if you like the colored i think real source sells it in like 12 diffrent color even chrome wowie
