Hi,
here in Germany a friend found in Berlin a 1952 Rometsch Taxi. It was an open secret of this car - people did not care much about it becaus it looks at the moment like an 1975 beetle and they thougth that it was selfmade in the 70ths. The body is been modified (big bach window, big engine new fenders from 1975,...
The car will be restaured to its old buity next year.
Bye Christian

Sweet, I always wanted one of these, instead I had to settle with shipping back from Germany my '55 sunroof with a big '58 back window , so is this a Zwitter Taxi ? looks like an oval, no starter button in the correct place, just a few other buttons in that area but too low _________________ There is an idea of a Billmetric; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there... |

This car is really interesting.
It was offered for 10000 Euro only!
I called the guy in Berlin. He claimed, that it is not a car build by Rometsch. He told me, that his father worked at Rometsch and he did the car "by himself".
Since I am living in China, I had no chance to be there in time and get the car ...
Congratulation to the new owner and I am glad, that the car will be brought back to the original specs.
May be we can see it next time in HO.

I saw pics that went with car. They show the car 1952 at Rometsch . The car was build by Rometsch and then later it came to the last owner. He had it until last year when he died. He modified the car during all the years. That why his son said the car was build by his farther ( both his farther and the son worked by Rometsch ). The prize was first 10000 Euro but with all the guys calling it went very quick up.
Hi will asked my friend if i can make some copies of the old pics.

That is from BC '07. I went looking at my pics and took virtually the very same pic. Same angle, same background,. etc. _________________ John Henry
