Opening scene of the movie The Hill which is in the theatres now and On Demand. Filmed alot in my hometown of Augusta, Ga. Last year, they advertised for old cars to be in the movie so I sent my pictures in and my car was chosen. They used it for two days. My son also got in the movie as an extra playing baseball. It's a good movie, based on a true story about the struggles a guy had making it to the majors. Starring Dennis Quaid.

Nice !!!!
My 1971 Convertible was used as a backdrop for models' photoshoot maybe 15 years ago; I got paid like $150 for the day, and it was close to my workplace. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. Very cool, Did you just park the car there for the shot, or was it used in other scenes? _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames

I parked it there at the baseball stadium for day one. Day two was at an old abandoned church but it didn't make that scene. $250 per day.
So it only made it in the very opening scene. _________________ Oprn wrote: I'm getting to the age that any self propelled woman (no wheel chair or walker) looks HOT!! Oooo! look at that Babe! She made it from the dining room all the way to the TV room without help!! Hubba, hubba!! |

Reason I asked is they used my friends car in the movie Peggy Sue got married, back in the day. He had horror stories of the way they treated it, and said he would never do it again. Now, his car was a big part of the movie with the main characters actually driving it, so that is a bit different than just parking it for still shots.
$250 a day? Thats pretty good! _________________ WANTED: Henry Veale Santa Rosa plate frames
