Does anyone know how many cables are on the 1969 fresh air controller? And, is the 69 fresh air systems different than other years? My 69 boxes only have on lever to open and close the vent on each box.The PO removed the controler and the cables so I'm starting from scratch with trying to get fresh air back in the car and it's my first Type 3.Thanks

If I remember correctly there should 4 cables to the vent boxes and control unit. Two to each box, as one will control the upper outlet that feeds air to the base of the windshield, and the other cable goes to the lower flap to allow air to dump out near the bottom of the box (putting air to your crotch). I hope this helps.

You will get more fresh/cold air than you want at the windshield!
Worry about getting them to seal closed in the cold winter! Evil or Very Mad
My 69 heater boxes overcome the leaky window vents thankfully. Very Happy
