Bah, the wife was feeling crappy before we left, and now we are both sick with whatever flu she dragged home from work before her 2 week holiday
I have everything out drying in the sun, finally got some sunshine to air the soggy stuff out.
We are booked for camping this weekend with friends, but we’ll have to wait and see how long it takes for this cough, aches, sore throat, and runny nose to clear |
Hopefully you and your wife are feeling better by the weekend. I picked up a nasty virus at a conference the last week of May that has morphed a couple times and is still lingering so I almost didn't go camping at the weekend. However, as my wife and daughter were looking forward to it, we went anyway. A few others who attended said that they had something similar so there is a lot of sickness going around.
Take care. _________________ *******************************

We ended up buying a canoe last week, 14.5ft clipper escape, nice and light 50lbs , easy to put on the rack. Beats the heck out of that plastic mad river 16.5 ft we rented that weighed close to 90 lbs.
We popped it in the lake on the way back from picking it up, it came with paddles, and life jackets, and Sherman got his first canoe trip under his belt, and he got to try out his new float coat
I was adjusting the rear brakes yesterday since my E-brake was pulling out a little too far, and noticed there were a couple loose bolts on the CV joint on the wheel hub side. on both sides. WTF

Nice, Sherman looks happy and comfortable! 50lbs is a bit easier to put up on the roof for sure.
I haven't had any issue with the cv bolts coming loose but I crawl under every few weeks to check my shock bolts as they have loosened off a few times. I did notice that the final drive pan bolts on my automatic needed to be snugged up about a month back but that's about it. _________________ *******************************

Our 3 day street machine weekend event last weekend
My copilot was useless getting video or pictures during the cruise, but I took a few shots, and put the drone up before it got stupid busy yesterday at the show and shine. The was even a yellow mulholland look beetle cruising on Friday

Another couple days camping
Before leaving I was under the bus looking at the clutch cable and found 2 nuts missing off the engine to trans mount. Good thing the motor support is a solid piece.
Back to site 18 at police outpost
Gonna have to figure a drive away section to make it easier to leave the EZ awning when we take to canoe to the lake. Instead of going back and forth getting it back in position
Really like the 8x10 ft space when the weather turns and we are stuck inside for a while, and a cheap closed cell pad under the carpet on the gravel is afoot saver when you kick off your shoes or the dog wants to lay around, who am I kidding, he sleeps on the couch
Home a couple days and off again for a couple days
