Moved out. A few ago.
On a Saturday, 5:30 PM. Some idiot tried to steal the Cat out of my car. I was watching cause I thought it was for next door, than I heard the saw. I went out and stomped on his ankle and scared the crap out of him. I was gonna beat him but there is cameras around, so I let him go. See the Van. They got it for three cats, cost $1500.
So I got 50 bucks for it for scrap Hmmm
Ready for the 55

You are not in need of anybody's advice, specifically mine, so here's my thought on painting with a small compressor.
It will be running all the time to keep up with the gun, so the air will be hot and full of moisture. My solution was to run a 50 foot air hose up the wall, accross up to a peak in the middle of the garage, back down to the other wall, down the wall, and near the bottom tee'd off a drip leg with a ball valve at the bottom to let the water out. The whole run was shaped like an upside down U. I also had a tee'd off drip leg with ball ball valve at the compressor side as well, one at the bottom of each end of the upside down U. The idea was to give a long run for the air to cool down and moisture to condense out before hitting the filter at the far end of the run (like a moonshine still) From the filter I ran the 25ft air hose to the gun. At the gun handle, I also had a small clear air and oil separater to see the condition of the air at the gun and then one of those disposable orange ball filters between that and the handle of the gun.
I was amazed at the volumes of water that this long run was able to condense out at both ends. I still burned through filter elements even though the filter also had a drain.
I like the pressure to be 40psi at the gun, and then use the gun air control knob to fine tune it from there. Fan control basiically almost wide open.
I cant wait for it to warm up again over here. I've now got a toilet paper filter on my big compressor and I love it. The elements are almost free, single ply rolls. _________________ Big Time 1988 Vanagon Westy
