Anchovy, this thread is blowing my mind. All your fix-its, inventions, and gear is really impressive. From one 1968 Campmobile'er to another, well done. Very inspiring.
We met you up at Familienfest last summer and admired all your Bus goodies. Curious if you'll be at the Silverado campout coming up. Sounds like it should be a good time.

Hey Brook, thanks for the kind words. I will be at Silverado. Are you going/camping? Hope to see you there. |

I decided to pull the spare tire and carrier off the front and replace it with an original paint emblem. On windy days the tire would resonate and sound like it was going to tear off. I cleaned up the rust that formed between the carrier and the nose as best I could. Also noticed that one of my headlights has a crack. This happened on the way back from BBB. I heard something hit the front but didn't see the damage until now.

It looks great Jeff! I personally love Bay Window noses with a big, beautiful VW emblem. You have such a cool Bus.

Thank you!
Joined the Bus Bros for a 4 day coastal cruise and camping trip. We stayed in Malibu, Pismo - Oceano Dunes and Hobson. Great time with great views. Bus ran great.

Got these photos from a friend. These are at Pismo Beach - Oceano Dunes. There is a creek that you have to cross at low tide that leads into the ocean. I was picking jellyfish from the undercarriage for a couple weeks. Really!

Well this part is fresh water and I did hit the self-serve car wash as soon as I was done camping. Drive 'em, don't hide 'em! |

Had a lot of fun at OCTO this last weekend. Set up in the swap meet section. Trip through In-n-out and down the coast. A beautiful day.

Made some of these tray tables from Baltic Birch. Complete with aluminum mounting extrusion.

From one Coleman enthusiast to another, that is an amazing collection.
And, those suitcase tables are a game changer. |

Thank you sir!
You can never have enough table space when camping. I love my Handy model picnic tables and the suitcase Coleman. |

Day camping at South Doheny again. About 90 VW's showed up for this unsanctioned "event". Steak sandwiches for breakfast. I sold a couple table trays and offer them now with the drink holes. Good times.

When you first posted the table/bracket combo with cupholder holes, I immediately thought about those stainless steel inserts you see in boats and outdoor furniture. _________________ You can't spell sausage without "USA"! |
