Alright lets get up to date with the fasty. Pretty much nearing completion I'd say about 98% of the way done.

Since the last update I've:
- installed the headliner, upholstered the seats, all of the bulbs and wiring + lighting are done, all windows are in the car (rear one was a pain) anddddd now I'm onto the carpet install, door rebuild, and gluing down all the seals and after that I think I'll finally be done. Except for the minor nicknacks like steering wheel, radio etc. I just wanna start driving!

Headliner going in, dry run first.

I will say, luckily I had purchased the interior kit + a headliner kit at separate times so I had 2 headliners..one was a sacrificial learning experience and the second was the final go. I was going for a B- install and I think I got it lol. Some corners arent perfect, but thats just the way they're going to be haha.

Pop outs + rear window (this one was a real pain, had to remove the decklid and put all my bodyweight on the edges just to get it to seat. Crazy)

I also document all of the work on video, so if anyone needs or wants to see any detailed portions of the build they can be found here.

Looks like you did a pretty good job for your first time. Cool A heat gun might help get the wrinkles out, but they're not too bad. Wink I don't have a heat gun, so a wrinkled headliner (in the corners) is something that I live with. Also I hate doing headliner work (I'd rather cut the roof off instead). Laughing
As for the window seals, it looks like you did a great job on them. When I did the back window on my wife's Fastback, doing the bottom part of the seal was the hard part as there wasn't much room to maneuver. The same as doing my 65 Notch was (we did it twice) as getting the seal to seat was the trouble. I don't know, some seals go in like they're made to fall in, and some want to fight for every inch. It doesn't seem to make a difference who's seals you use either. On my wife's car we used WCM seals front and rear (Cal look), and good used OE pop out seals (this was before ISP started reproducing them). At least you didn't have a sunroof to fit around (like my Notch has), as that makes things go easier (you're mainly glueing around the edge). Did you lay out the headliner in the sun to warm it up? Or just hang it on the rods and work it from there? That's what we did on my wife's Fastback, as we did it with a cloth headliner.

The seat covers are pretty easy other than the rear back upright cover (just a heads up). I used the TMI seat cover kit, and the rear upper is a PIA because the plastic strip they sew in isn't wide enough to really grab the lip in the seat frame (just a heads up on that). Just so you know, the Fastback and the Notchback use the same rear seat covers, which means I've done it 3 times now with 3 different cars (all 3 had the folding arm rest too). And TMI still hasn't changed the design of that strip (the first time I did seat covers was in 1990). The lower cushion is fairly easy, just watch out for those triangle spikes that go around the edge, like the front seat bottoms.
Your car is looking good though, nice job on it. Cool
