Fader for the radio. I've got a Blaupunkt remote speaker under the rear window

Here are some old pictures of my Vert. Still looks the same, just a little more wear and tear after 15 years.

I noticed the other day in the owner's manual for a 1967 bug that the headlight switch is on the right side of the car and the the windshield wiper switch is on the left side. The knobs are reversed in my car and now after looking through this thread I see that my car is not the only one like that.

Anyone know why the manual shows it one way, but in the actual car it is different?

A blast from the past... this was about 1975-1976. Alas, the car was stolen a few years later, but I have a few pics like this one.

Pioneer Supertuner FM/cassette and Jensen Triaxials in the rear. Got the nickname "Bass Bug" playing the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley & the Wailers. Love the '70s!

My late dad's '71 fastback (now mine and restored) is in the background to the right.

On my 59, its a mechanical choke for the carb. Im not sure what year they went to an electric choke. I ended up putting a switch for my electric fuel pump there.
