Has anyone in the UK found a good source for these?
I'm getting shipping quotes from the US more than the cost of the bow itself.

Ask Pete Morley at Californian Classics: https://www.californianclassics.co.uk/

Looks like they have one in stock: https://www.californianclassics.co.uk/product/karmann-ghia-convertible-header-bow-58-69-2/

Paruzzi has the wooden ones....
https://www.paruzzi.com/uk/volkswagen///?zoektrefwoord=wooden+bow+ghia

But if you searched the shopping guide sticky you'd might find a german supplier with better prices.

John, that bow is plastic, seems like the jury is out on those.
Thanks for that link Nicholas, but 68 and earlier are currently out of stock at Paruzzi.

Yes I did see it was plastic but I do remember seeing someone here in a recent topic on the subject saying they have had one for a number of years without an issue.

I'll see if I can find who it was. £280 is a lot to shell out if you're not sure.

See what Californian Classics say, what do they use in their restorations...see if you can get a price reduction for the promise of a review. Wink

Edit: Yes it was you last September. Laughing

I fitted perfectly a synthetic one to my convertible back in the eighties and how no problems with it. Granted it was a while ago.

Paul, Have a look at KHM?
https://cabrio.de/en/softtops/car-models-prices/karmann-ghia/Front-bar-Karmann-til-69-detail

Likely KHM are closer to who ever it is that makes these.
