it seems like every other bus that gets listed for sale has someone whining about it, so lets just post all that crap in one topic rather that making a new topic for every one.
or you can just whine about me whining about people whining about buses for sale.................

thanks. that POS is nowhere near original. I feel confident in saying that there was never a factory two toned splitte doublecab, and the only model that I have not seen in postal yellow is a doublecab. and that yellow is nownere near postal yellow, and that DC was most likely blue to start with anyway. _________________ .

I'm tired of these two ads popping up:
"1963 '93 Club' Casino Combi--$9300."
This "rare" bus has been advertised several times since last July and the ad has 81 lines of text;
and
"Full Custom 1965 Bus--$12000 and going up."
"...3 1/2 inch CHOPPED TOP, SUICEDE DOORS...SHAVED DASH, RAINGUTTERS...ALL EXTERIOR HANDALS...NEW STERRING BOX...NEW LOWERED SPINDELS...PRESHER PLATE AND THROW OUT BARRING."
This "custom" bus was first advertised 12 months ago and the price is going up.

yeah, I am really tired of that ad being up also, maybe it is because I own half of that bus and I really would like it to sell. LOL. _________________ .

Why not try reducing the price a little then. Obviously not attracting people at that. I am sure that someone here in England would snap it up if they felt teh price was right. It is a cool bus in my opinion but then you already know that .!!! _________________ THE PATINA POLICE!!!!

What's with this bus?

How many people have emailed this guy and not received any response? Is the ad a joke? Anybody here know Luftwagen?
Personally whenever I've listed something for sale, I take the time to answer each and every email because you never know who's seriously interested. |

Ohh This looks fun I got one http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=261255
Where do I start? The bad Spelling, the god offer!!!( does he want a godly price for it?), the lack of description, the extended sills, the colour or the FACT THAT SOME TWAT HAS KILLED WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A NICE BUS... ohh thats better. I never thought I would slag of a custom bus, but that is nasty. _________________ Remember In the event of a crash the nearest exit may be behind you!!!

there were seven splitties in field that Greg and Myself found at the same time. we bought them, we each took one for ourselves, and put the rest up for sale. the casino kombi was the nicest and most complete bus of the lot so we put it together, and did a ton of work to get it running and driving like a champ and drove it to LA and drove it 1000 miles around LA on the classic weekend driving it to most of the shows and parties and picking up and dropping off a bunch of sambanistas at the airports. the other buses that we sold were all fairly rough. apparently people would much rather buy a POS for $1k than a nice running driving bus for $9k. don't look for me putting any more buses together for sale any time soon, I much rather whore out totaly POS basket cases for $1k-$2k and let the new owners dream about how nice it once was, and maybe one day will be. if the bus is worth less than $1k, then is is not worth my time to sell it so I make those ones into storage units. I think I am whining to much here..... buy my bus, it is cool. LOL. _________________ .

Hey Lind, you finance? I can't afford to put a POS, non-running bus together anymore. On the other hand, I can't afford one that has been finished either. So, like most, I buy one somewhere in the middle. I'm sort of like a dreamer when it comes to buses. I can see their potential, but the money is not there to see it come through. I just spent $4800 a couple months ago buying a decent bus(for me). I bought what i could afford, but made sure i got the most for my buck. It has a straight axle kit, and safari's. Both things that i would of done eventually. It is also rust free. So, I did the best i could with what i had. Granted, i just installed a new tranny last weekend. I have only been in the bus scene for maybe 5 years. I have owned 5 buses in that time. They have been getting better, and i have learned a bunch. Of course one day i hope to own a nice,complete 21 or 23. Until then, i just sit back and enjoy the ride..... _________________ 67 Ghia coupe, Retired military.
