I was just wondering if anybody had a picture of how the top bunk of a riviera should look. Mine came with a thin wood extension then makes it long enough to sleep on, but the cusion isn't long enough to cover the extension as well...I was just curious as to how it was origionally supposed to be

the extension should be cushioned w/ matching fabric. Does your extension store up along the roof behind the back seat/bed? I will try to take a pic of mine later today.

My extensions just sits up in the top bunk under the cusion. Also on the thin wood extension, there is too square cutouts on the end of it. just wondering if those are for something, or is mine is just special (hacked up by PO) lol

THE EXTENSION PIECE SHOULD ALSO BE PADDED TO MATCH HIGHT OF THE TOP BUNK. BEST STORED IN OTHER PLACE BECAUSE IT TAKES UP NEEDED SPACE WHEN NOT IN USE. Smile

Thanks man...wow mine doesn't look like that...the wood on my top bunk isn't "padded" but there is a plaid cusion that goes up there that is the size of the unextended bunk, and the extension has no padding...I don't think the extension is origional, because it's very thin wood.

My 71 looks a little different then that. The extension just folds up twice like and accordion and stays up top. the top cushion is also in two parts and overlaps to stay up top. I will try to post a pick when I have a chance.

I think you could make one up pretty easily, after all the feet region for sleeping doesn't have to support too much weight.......it would be nice to have a level sleeping surface though Very Happy

How thick is the wood of the extension? for you guys who have the origional one, because I'm going to make a better one, I just don't like the extension being so flexible...my feet almost cause it to flex. Confused

My pop-up has a funky wood extension too and the mattress is thin and doesn't cover it all. I was planning on getting some foam and making a new mattress and covering it to match the new curtains I'm sewing.

I put 2 picks of my upper extention w/ measurements there for you. I have a 77, so they are probably the same style.
