Driving a VW bus; Is that easy, for you to cope with vehicles at your right side ?
Please comment about actual driving situations. _________________ Stock 1974 US Westy, AW-A 1800cc dual carbs. Twin Falls is my favorite site on the Churchill river in Manitoba. |

usally not a problem for me cause I'm always in the right lane. But I have a 3" spot mirror that comes in handy to see where the window is blocked by the cabinet

| In a SO-67 or Campmobile 70 where the RH quarter window is blocked by cabinetry I cannot imagine getting along without a RH side view mirror. Even on a bus with a clear view through this window it can be argued the mirror is essential. I would rather be without the rear view mirror than either of the side view mirrors. And yes, you will need a fisheye bubble mirror to catch Honda Civics passing you on the right. In France this isnt even optional, a Ford Ka can completely disappear in your blind spot even in a station wagon/kombi. Do whatever you have to, but get a mirror. |

Since the glass popped out of my right mirror in CA I've been doing without.
It sucks.
Chris says Busted Bus probably doesn't have any (he's out of town right now) and $30+ shipping is out of my price range at the moment. Sigh.
CIP has a $10 one, but flat refuses to warranty it. Anybody got one of those? _________________ No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow. |

I have the small round convex? mirrors mounted on the regular ones too.. but something I found helpful was to move the long part of the mirrors horizontally rather than vertically. Personal choice I know.. some people like them up and down. _________________ Owner of: "The Party Pickle" (a 1979 2 Liter FI "Raby Camper Special" Sage Green Westy Campmobile) & "Charlie Brown" (a 1979 2 Liter FI "Rob Grant Rebuild" Agate Brown/Dakota Beige Station Wagon)

I hate driving cars with convex mirrors.
However, the small round one added on the regular one ( I saw it on your vidéo ) is a good idea. I'll see if I can get used to it. _________________ Stock 1974 US Westy, AW-A 1800cc dual carbs. Twin Falls is my favorite site on the Churchill river in Manitoba. |
