Could this be a scam? Another email address was furnished by the sender ( with the full name of the seller but with a new email address )
to make payments thru paypal.
Thanks. |

From my dealings with Paypal, email address and Paypal address don't have to be the same. But most of the times are, depends on how you set up the account.
But to be on the safe side, I never click on to links sent in an email, to log on. Believe me made that mistake before
Go directly to your Paypal account, to send payment and/or find out if they are a verified user.
Hope that helps _________________ Single Cab, Swapmeet Mafia$ |

The money request in of itself doesn't indicate a scam at all, assuming you had a pending transaction with that person. Usually a seller will ask you if you want to pay by Paypal before they send a Paypal money request, but there's no rule saying they have to. Contact the seller in question and discuss payment options that you prefer....easy!
Can you tell us more about the transaction in question? |

VintageDude,
Sorry didnt mean to set off any scam worries. I have changed email several times recently due to spam concerns and have never gotten it all cleaned back up. I am a verrified user at paypal. You can also look me up in Independence MO. My number is listed. contact me and I am sure that we can work this out.
***Ps I have cancelled the payment request in question as an act of good failth. I have also updated my profile at paypal so that further communication will show the gmail address i was using when our conversation began. I am sorry that the address has changed. I have been at war with a spammer that has been filling my old speakeasy box and gmail box since I filed a complaint against him with his isp. |

For the record:
1) Vintagedude and I had a lengthy conversation about the parts I was selling, the price i was asking, and the method of payment which was to be paypal
2) Vintagedude made no effort to to clarify my communication before posting it here as a scam
3) After agreeing to purchase said parts and agreeing to a price and after me working to assist him in locating all his required parts to complete his repair he has yet to a) contact me or b) attempt payment |
