What is the paint mixing formula for L477 Brown ? My bug is a '60 sunroof in L451 Indian Red. The rim is stone beige, the center is this brown color that no one on earth [including glasurit] can find. Perhaps someone can do the impossible!?!

I had a hard time with early beetle pait too. Napa was able to mix me up a can of L518? i think? Java green for my wifes 64 beetle. It took the guy some time to figure it out but he did mix me up the correct color and it matched. So go to napa they will only give you it in acrilic enamel.

I did the same search for the wheel center on a light beige 55. Wheel center is supposed to be Copper Red...nobody on earth has the color or a chip.

Ditto - I'm looking for L477 brown, too. Has anyone had any luck in finding/reproducing this color? It's the stock color on the inner rim of my '60. Unfortunately, the PO had all but the spare tire repainted all white and the spare tire rim isn't in good enough shape to get a color match off of it.

A little late to the party here, but if anyone’s looking for a good match for Indian Red wheel colors, I found RAL 8016 Mahogany Brown to be a really good match for the L477 brown, also used RAL 7044 for the outer ring as someone else suggested for replacing Stone Beige (might be a little more yellow than stock, but seemed to work pretty well for my wheels). My car is supposed to be Indian Red, will be putting it back to stock at some point
